Massage Therapy: My Passion, Purpose & Community
Massage therapy is a hands-on treatment where a trained therapist works with the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues to promote relaxation, reduce pain, and improve physical function. My passion for massage therapy comes from wanting to help people feel better, take care of their bodies, and make self-care a regular part of their lives. My goal is to become a mobile massage therapist and grow my own business, Centered Relief Co. I want to bring therapeutic massage directly to people in their homes, workplaces, events, and communities. I also hope to provide wellness education and community outreach, especially here in Coweta County, where I've been a longtime resident. As a graduate of the University of West Georgia, I'm proud to continue growing my education at PTCSOM and use what I learn to give back to the community I call home. I'm especially thankful to Kathy, Michael, Tiffany, and Jamie for their support and encouragement throughout this journey. I'm also grateful to the PTCSOM alumni and current students who have shared their experiences, offered guidance, and helped make this process so enjoyable. I'm excited to take everything I've learned at PTCSOM into the next chapter and continue building a career centered around healing, wellness, and community. For me, massage therapy is more than a career—it's an opportunity to help people feel better, live healthier, and find their center.-Ashley
