This course is designed to introduce the student to the theory and hands on skills involved in Swedish massage. The student will analyze how the body creates movement including joint mobilization and range of motion assessment. The principles and techniques of deep tissue massage and neuromuscular therapy are studied and used to treat myofacial pain. Also covered is an understanding of the digestive and urinary systems.
